Surf along the north facing shores of of Maui and Molokaʻi is expected to remain elevated at 14 to 18 feet today, according to an advisory issued by the National Weather Service.

The forecast also calls for advisory level surf of 8-12 foot surf along the east facing shores of both islands.

The high surf advisory remains in effect until 6 a.m. on Monday, March 17, 2014, with
strong braking waves, rip currents, and breaking waves that will make swimming difficult and dangerous.
