Maui Crime Log: 30 Burglaries, 14 Vehicle Thefts

Maui police say they responded to 30 burglaries, 14 vehicle thefts, and 16 vehicle break-ins in Maui County over a seven day period, between March 23 and 29, 2014. The complete list of locations affected and times in which the incidents occurred are as follows:

30 Maui Burglaries Reported Mar. 23 to 29, 2014:

Haʻikū: 

  • Sunday, March 23, 2014, 12:47 p.m.:  Kauhikoa Road, non-residential, unlawful entry.
  • Tuesday, March 25, 2014, 4:49 p.m.:  Kaupakalua Road, unlawful entry.
  • Thursday, March 27, 2014, 4:29 p.m.: Kāne Road, unlawful entry.

Kāʻanapali:

  • Saturday, March 29, 2014, 4:51 p.m.:  Kai Ala Drive at the Kāʻanapali Villas, Banyan building, unlawful entry.

Kahului:

  • Monday, March 24, 2014, 3:19 p.m.:  Ano Street, forced entry.
  • Tuesday, March 25, 2014, 7:46 a.m.:  Pona Way, unlawful entry.
  • Wednesday, March 26, 2014, 11:30 p.m.:  Puʻu ʻEhu Place, forced entry.

Kihei:

  • Sunday, March 23, 2014, 6:46 a.m.:  South Kīhei Road at Denny’s Kīhei, non-residential, forced entry.

      The police department catches PLENTY of ice heads, but the judges keep letting them go. There’s no reason that each and every ice head couldn’t do 10 years in prison for their first offense. Our communities would certainly be much safer.

    Where’s the “aloha spirit”, eh brah? Today’s youth are bad seeds. They need to look around at where they are and give praise to Jah, rather than smoke the crack of babylon.
