MEDB Begins Online Reservations for Annual Fundraiser

The Maui Economic Development Board announced that it is now accepting online reservations for their annual fundraiser, the MEDB Ke Alahele Education Fund Dinner & Auction, scheduled to take place on Saturday, Aug. 23, at the Grand Wailea Resort.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the organization’s ongoing efforts to advance education in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math in Maui County.

The non-profit group also released an activity lineup that includes: an Apples for Education Auction; Go to the Head of the Class Challenge; Are You Smarter Than a STEM 5th Grader game; and mingle with Distinguished Educators.

Among the dignitaries scheduled to attend the event are: Lieutenant Governor Shan Tsutsui, Maui Mayor Alan Arakawa, and broadcaster Kanoa Leahy will serve as the dinner MC.

The MEDB is a nonprofit organization dedicated to achieving a balanced economy and more rewarding choices for residents.

Sponsorships for the upcoming event are available in addition to event tickets which are listed at $175 per person.
