Maui Crime Log: 23 Burglaries, 13 Vehicle Thefts

Maui police say they responded to 23 burglaries, 13 vehicle thefts, and 19 vehicle break-ins in Maui County over a seven day period, between April 6 and 12, 2014. The complete list of locations affected and times in which the incidents occurred are as follows:

23 Maui Burglaries Reported April 6 to 12, 2014:

Haʻikū: 

  • Friday, April 11, 2014, 6:37 a.m.:  Haʻikū Road at the Haʻikū Marketplace, non-residential, forced entry.

Kāʻanapali:

  • Thursday, April 10, 2014, 11:08 a.m.: Nohea Kai Drive at the Marriott Resort and Ocean Club, unlawful entry.

Kahului:

  • Friday, April 11, 2014, 4:45 a.m.:  Pākaula Street at Home Depot, unlawful entry.

Kīhei:

  • Monday, April 7, 2014, 8:34 p.m.:  Keonekai Road, unlawful entry.
  • Tuesday, April 8, 2014, 7:17 p.m.:  Walaka Street at Kalama Terrace.
  • Thursday, April 10, 2014, 4:02 p.m.:  Ponanā Street, forced entry.
  • Thursday, April 10, 2014, 5:16 p.m.:  Ahekolo Street, unlawful entry.
  • Friday, April 11, 2014, 1 p.m.:  Kenolio Road at Southpointe, forced entry.
  • Friday, April 11, 2014, 9:22 p.m.:  South Kīhei Road at the Kīhei Kai Nani, attempted entry.

    A good alarm and never leave anything worth taking in your vehicle, the thieves are like cockroaches when it comes to this on Maui….I learned that the hard way just like many others.

    This report indicates there is a ring of bad dudes out there!Looks like there main vehicle is the toyota tacoma!You telling me MPD can’t catch soom rat’s?Something doen’t smell very good!It dosn’t take sherlock holmes to figure this out!
