No Advisories Following 3.5 Nāpōʻopoʻo Quake

There were no immediate advisories issued following a preliminary magnitude 3.5 earthquake reported at 3:02 p.m. on Friday, May 9, 2014 on the Big Island of Hawaiʻi.

The US Geological Survey reports that the quake occurred at a depth of 4 km and was located: 16 miles E of Hōnaunau-Nāpōʻopoʻo; 28 miles ESE of Kailua-Kona; 39 miles WSW of Hilo,; and 43 miles WSW of Hawaiian Paradise Park.
