By Maui Now Staff
Water management and resources, and the role they play in the South Maui community, will be the focus of discussion at a Kīhei Community Association meeting, scheduled for tonight.
The nonprofit’s general membership meeting will feature guests William Tam, deputy director for water at the state Department of Land and Natural Resources, and state Water Commissioner Jonathan Starr.
The KCA will look at a recent agreement to return more water to streams at Nā Wai ʻEhā, limits on the ʻĪao Aquifer, and planned development in South Maui, according to an event announcement.
Doors open at 6 p.m., and the meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. at the Kīhei Charter Middle School located on East Līpoa Street.
