Maui Road Work: Kāʻanapali, Māʻalaea

Several state transportation projects are planned this week that will result in lane closures or detours in Kāʻanapali, and Māʻalaea.

Kāʻanapali Road Work:

• In Kāʻanapali, crews will continue nightly road repairs on the Honoapiʻilani Highway in both directions between Kahana Nui Road and Kaʻanapali Parkway from 8 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.

Māʻalaea Road Work:  In Māʻalaea, there are three projects on tap—one on the Hanoapiʻilani Highway, another on North Kīhei Road, and a third on the Kūihelani Highway.

• The Honoapiʻilani work involves a single lane closure in both directions between Kūihelani Highway and Kapoli Street from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• The North Kīhei Road project involves lane closures in the daytime between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m., and at night between 8 p.m. and 5:30 a.m.
• The Kūihelani road repairs will result in a lane closure in the northbound direction during the nighttime hours between 8 p.m. and 5:30 a.m.

State Transportation officials say lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice and all projects are weather permitting.
