Road Repairs Result in Delays in North Kīhei and Kāʻanapali

State highway crews continue road repair work this week on North Kīhei Road in Māʻalaea and on the Honoapiʻilani Highway in Kāʻanapali.

Motorists are advised that work will result in a lane closure in both directions of North Kīhei Road between the Honoapiʻilani Highway and the Piʻilani Highway.

Earlier this week, motorists were reporting lengthy wait times in excess of a half hour.

In West Maui, road repairs continue on the Honoapiʻilani Highway in Kāʻanapali between Kahana Nui Road and Kāʻanapali Parkway.

Work hours for both projects are from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., and from 8 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. daily this week through Friday, July 11, 2014.

State transportation officials say all projects are weather permitting and lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice.
