Staffing Shortage Results in Missed Kula Trash Route

A staffing shortage is to blame for missed trash pickup in the Kula service area.

The County of Maui Solid Waste Division announced the missed route and said they anticipate pickup to take place on Wednesday, July 30, 2014.

Areas affected include:

ʻĀinakua Road; Ākea Place; Holopuni Road; Kā Drive; Kimo Drive; Kulalani Circle and drive; Kulamanu Circle; Lower Kula Road; Mano Drive; Omaʻōpio Road; Piliwale Road; Pūlehu Road; and all surrounding streets.

Department officials apologized for the inconvenience and thanked the community for their understanding and cooperation.
