Maui Crime Log: 30 Burglaries, 11 Vehicle Break-ins

Maui police responded to 30 burglaries, 3 vehicle thefts, and 11 vehicle break-ins in Maui County over a seven day period, between August 10 to 16, 2014.

The list includes only three vehicle thefts, none of which have been recovered.

There was a spike in burglaries with 30 incidents reported–nine of them in Kīhei, and four incidents each in Haʻikū and Kahului.

Of the 11 vehicle break-ins, the greatest number of incidents were in Kīhei where four break-ins occurred.

The complete list of locations affected and times in which the incidents occurred are as follows:

Haʻikū:

• Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2014, 4:30 p.m.:  200 block of Ulumalu Road.  Residential, forced entry.
