Monsanto Hawaiʻi Offers Science Education Grants

Monsanto Hawaiʻi announced that it is now accepting applications for its Science Education Fund grants.

The program is open to public schools serving students at the intermediate, high school, and college grade levels on the islands of Maui, Molokaʻi, and Oʻahu.

The fund was established in 2005, and is designed to provide Hawaiʻi public schools with programs, tools, supplies and equipment to enhance science education, and encourage students to consider a future career in the sciences.

To date, company executives say the program has awarded more than $145,000 to public schools throughout the state.

Grant applications are accepted and reviewed twice a year. The next application deadline is October 6, 2014.

The Monsanto Fund is a not-for-profit organization that serves as the philanthropic arm of the Monsanto Company.  The fund is dedicated to strengthening the farm communities where farmers and Monsanto Company employees live and work.
