Maui’s Glick Design Wins National Awards
By Maui Now Staff
Maui-based graphic design artist, Robert Glick, earned three national awards during an annual American Graphic Design Awards competition held in New York City.
Glick’s winning entries included an in-room dining guide for the Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea, an electronic flip book on the Grand Wailea website, and a meetings and incentive guide for the Maui Visitor’s & Convention Bureau.
The graphic production and design for the winning works were created and by Glick, and will be reproduced in the 300-page 2014 Graphic Design USA Annual to be published in December.
The annual competition reportedly drew an estimated 8,000 entries from US graphic design firms, advertising agencies, corporate in-house creative departments, and publishers.
According to Glick, only about 15% of the entries were selected for publication.
The Design Annual is mailed to thousands of clients and is distributed during national trade shows and design events.
Glick Design is located in the Queen Kaʻahumanu Center Office Building in Kahului.
