Maui Police Investigate Break-in at Waiehu Golf Course

The Maui Police Department is seeking the public’s help with information in a golf course break-in and cart theft at the Waiehu Golf Course two weeks ago.

Police say an unknown offender or offenders cut the fence door of the maintenance storage unit of the Waiehu Golf Course some time between 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2014, and 4 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 25, 2014.

Police say that during the break-in, the offender(s) entered the storage unit and stole a red, 1999 Toro Workman utility cart similar to the one pictured above.

During their escape, police say the suspect(s) drove through the golf course fence near hole number five and continued south through two fences surrounding the Leisure Estate baseball field.

Anyone with information leading to the apprehension of the offenders and/or the recover of the stolen cart is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 242-6966, Detective Derrick Delos Santos at 244-6437, or police dispatch at 244-6400.
