Amy Hanaialiʻi headlines the Wailuku First Friday town party on Market Street on Friday, Dec. 5, 2014.

Hawaiʻi’s top selling female vocalist and five time Grammy nominee takes the Maui Thing stage at 7:30 p.m.

Opening for Hanaialiʻi is Maui’s own Marja Lehua, performing for the first time at the Wailuku First Friday event at 6 p.m.

Also featured on the Maui Thing Stage will be Hālau O Keaunui, performing at 7 p.m.

The free family and community event celebrates the holidays this month with a visit from Santa and photo opportunities.

Other featured performances include: R.E. Metoyer Blues, Rock and Soul Revue at the Banyan Tree Park stage at 6 p.m.; the Maui High School Band doing Christmas music at 6 p.m. on Vineyard Street to get ready for their Rose Parade performance on Jan. 1, 2015; and “Elf: The Musical” at the Historic ʻĪao Theatre at 7:30 p.m. (Tickets are $20 to $40).

The street part runs from 6 to 9 p.m. on Market Street in Wailuku, with free parking at the Maui Medical Group lot.
