Maui Comedy Festival Plans Return in 2015

After an inaugural event this year, organizers of the Maui Comedy Festival have announced the return of the event for a second year in 2015.

Plans call for the 2nd Annual Maui Comedy Festival to take place on Halloween weekend from Oct. 29 to Nov. 1, 2015, in Lahaina, Maui.

The event is being advertised as the “largest destination comedy festival in the US.”

[flashvideo file=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H-MDa8a20AE /] This year’s event featured 31 nationally recognized comedians performing at six venues in West Maui, and was billed as the largest event of its kind ever produced in the state, with 22 shows over the course of three days.

Organizers launched a new website and are already promoting a “Ridiculously Early-Bird VIP Pass” that entitles holders to an entire run of the festival featuring four nights and 20+ shows for a special price of $349.

Some of the performers from 2014 included Reggie Watts, Ari Shaffir, Greg Proops, and Ron Funches.  The 2015 lineup has yet to be announced.
