Maui Man Becomes Hawaiian’s 10 Millionth Passenger in 2014

Maui’s Harrison Matthews became Hawaiian Airlines’ 10 millionth passenger of 2014, marking a new annual record for the airlines, officials said.
During a surprise presentation, Harrison was awarded a gift of 250,000 HawaiianMiles and, and all travelers aboard Flight 386 from Honolulu to Kahului were gifted with 1,000 HawaiianMiles as part of the celebration.
Airline officials say Harrison is resident of Makawao and a 2005 graduate of Seabury Hall High School.
The surprise celebration took place this morning prior to the flight departure from Honolulu, and included a presentation by Hawaiian Airlines president and CEO Mark Dunkerley. The surprise also included live Hawaiian music and hula, and a lei presentation to all guests aboard the flight.
According to airline representatives, the milestone is a new annual record for the airline, which is now celebrating 85-years of service.
