Maui Crime Log Dec. 14-20: Burglaries, Thefts, Break-ins

Maui police responded to 24 burglaries, 11 vehicle thefts, and 26 vehicle break-ins in Maui County over a seven day period, between Dec. 14 and 20, 2014.

The number of burglaries was up, but vehicle thefts and vehicle break-ins were down from the amount reported a week earlier.

Vehicle thefts were down to 11 from 18 reported the week before.  Of the 11 vehicle thefts, three vehicles have since been recovered.

Burglary incidents increased for the week with 24 incidents reported, up from the 19 incidents reported the week before.

Vehicle break-ins decreased to 26, down from the 29 incidents reported the week before.
