SLIM Presents ‘Becoming a General Contractor’
By Maui Now Staff
Andrew Keenan is on a mission to help people in construction trades manage their own crews and run their own businesses.
Keenan knows the hurdles–he is a building contractor, and a licensed swimming pool, excavation and septic contractor.
Now he wants to help others achieve this level of professionalism.
Keenan will instruct the upcoming “Becoming a General Contractor” training course through the Sustainable Living Institute of Maui at UH Maui College. The training will cover attaining a contractor’s license, finding clients, bidding construction jobs, managing them and finishing the job to the customer’s satisfaction.
Tuesday nights from Feb. 10 to March 10, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., Keenan will take participants through these processes step-by-step.
Keenan has been a licensed contractor on Maui for 14 years. He has a degree in civil engineering from the University of Colorado.
Register for this $249 training at edventuremaui.com under “Business,” and then “Entrepreneurship and Small Business” or call 984-3231.
