Maui’s residential real estate market saw a median price increase to $577,000 in January, with an increase in individual homes sales and decrease in condo sales, according to statistics from the Realtors Association of Maui.
Home sales in January increased to 75 houses sold, up 15 percent compared to the same month last year. The median price fell by 17 percent compared to January 2014.
Condo sales decreased by 11 units, down to 83, decreasing by 12 percent from January of 2014. The median price held steady at $378,000.
Vacant land lot sales totaled 11 sold, down by 15 percent from last January, with the median price increasing to $700,000.
The average DOM (days on market) for homes was calculated at 118; 113 for condos; 171 for land.
