Projects must be consistent with goals of the department, and focus on landfill diversion. Potential projects may include but are not limited to: recycling education, equipment upgrades, program expansion and the collection or processing of materials.

Completed grant summary applications must be delivered or postmarked by 4 p.m. on Friday, February 20, 2015, to the Department of Environmental Management, Solid Waste Division, Recycling Section, 2200 Main Street, Suite 200, Wailuku, Hawaiʻi 96793.

Summaries will be reviewed and applicants will be notified if they have been selected to submit a full DEM Recycling Grant Application; submittal of the grant summary application or the complete grant application does not guarantee funding.
