The Shops at Wailea will feature award-winning musician Kuana Torres Kahele in a free performance on Wednesday, March 18, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the fountain courtyard.
The Hilo-born singer and songwriter hails from a well-known line of Hawaiian musicians, and has earned 13 Nā Hōkū Hanohano Awards for his creative work.
Artist Kahele found guidance from the renowned Kumu Hula and the esteemed composer Johnny Lum at an early age and credits his success to these crucial mentors. His partnering with Kehau Tamure has earned critical acclaim for classical revivals of Hawaiian music, in addition to original compositions.
Guests can enjoy complementary menu samples from the many eateries at the Shops including: Longi’s, Honolulu Cookie Company, Tommy Bahama Restaurant, Ruth’s Chris Steak House, Lappert’s Ice Cream, and Fustini’s Oils and Vinegars.
