A new study from SmartAsset ranked counties in Hawaiʻi by the amount of insurance coverage maintained by its residents.

The following counties secured their ranking based on auto, health and life insurance coverage rates. Areas with higher rates ranked higher.

1. Honolulu, Oʻahu: 89.75% – 94.47% – 41.31% – 69.97
2. Maui: 91.04% – 90.86% – 42.41% – 69.69
3. Kauaʻi: 91.53% – 90.25% – 42.25% – 69.54
4. Hawaiʻi: 90.89% – 90.12% – 41.72% – 66.83
5. Kalawao, Molokaʻi: 92.28% – 97.78% – 0.00% – 65.77
