Haʻikū Hoʻolauleʻa & Flower Festival Scheduled for April 25

The Haʻikū community invites Maui residents and visitors to the 22nd Annual Haʻikū Hoʻolauleʻa & Flower Festival at the Haʻikū Community Center and Haʻikū Elementary School grounds on Saturday, April 25, 2015, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The Haʻikū Hoʻolauleʻa is a free, all-day event featuring live music, entertainment, a keiki zone, growers’ market, silent auction, ono food, crafts and more.

The event draws an average annual attendance of over 7,000.

Attendees are welcome to bring lawn chairs and enjoy fabulous live entertainment from bands such as The Haʻikū Hillbillys, Marty Dread and Soul Kitchen.

Foodies will enjoy culinary delights offered by Flatbread, Milagros, De Ray’s, Dibs on Da Ribs, Fiji Indian Food and the famous Haʻikū School Bake Sale and more.

The hoʻolauleʻa boasts one of the largest silent auctions on the Valley Isle.

The Keiki Zone features live entertainment, bounce houses and games.

Shop at over 50 local craft and vendor booths.

Fresh flowers, plants and produce are available at the Growers Market.

Last year the festival raised over $70,000 for Haʻikū Elementary School, Haʻikū Community Association and Boys & Girls Club Maui-Haʻikū.

The Haʻikū community is grateful for their many event sponsors that help make this free event possible–Aloha Aina Center, Maui Printing, Mana Foods, HC&S, Milagros, Flatbread, A Make Believe Company, Da Bounce, Tanuki Interactive, Jennifer Oberg Bridal Couture and American Windsurfing Company.

The festival continues to “go green,” so attendees are asked to bring water bottles, plates, silverware and shopping bags.
