Dear Mayor:

Q: Can the intersection at Papa and Hina in Kahului be changed to a four-way stop?

A: Yes, as a matter of fact, Public Works is already moving ahead with exactly that. The intersection will be converted to a four-way stop once school lets out in June. Conversion will take place during the summer to minimize traffic impacts, but some minor improvements including striping need to be completed before the signs are installed.
