Seabury Hall’s 42nd Annual Craft Fair on May 9
By Maui Now Staff
The 42nd Annual Seabury Hall Craft Fair will take place on Saturday, May 9–the day before Mother’s Day–from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the school’s campus.
Admission is $5. Children 12 and under are admitted at no charge.
Both free and premium parking are available.
Attendees will once again enjoy perusing more than 100 of Maui’s celebrated artists as they showcase their pieces and works. The event will offer made-in-Hawaiʻi items such as jewelry, ceramics, weaving, clothing, painting, woodworking and traditional Hawaiian art.
The family-friendly event will include live entertainment; Restaurant Row’s fabulous food; home-baked goods prepared by Seabury Hall’s ʻohana at La Patisserie; silent auction items, including faraway vacations and local one-of-a-kind experiences; keiki games, pony rides and a giant waterslide; a huge rummage sale; plant, flower arrangement and lei sale; and student performances.
“The Seabury Hall Craft Fair has become a tradition for many Maui families, and is a great reason to visit Upcountry in spring,” said Joe Schimdt, Seabury Hall’s head of school. “The jacaranda trees are in full bloom, and the weather is still cool and inviting. Bring the whole family and spend the day on the 11-acre campus, eating delicious food, enjoying live entertainment and joining in the fun activities and exhibits.”
All proceeds from the fair support Seabury Hall’s financial aid program, which provides deserving students an opportunity for a high-quality college preparatory education that might otherwise be unobtainable for them. Over one-third of all Seabury Hall students receive some form of financial help through this fund.
The school is located at 480 Olinda Road above Makawao.
