The 34thKapalua Wine & Food Festival, held this June 11 through 14 at the Ritz Carlton Kapalua, is arguable cause to clear your schedule for some modern day bacchanalia.

Celebrating  the “finest culinary trends and vintages of premium, hard-to-find wines,” some of the highlights from this years’ event include:

On Friday, June 12, is the Grand Tasting Kapalua Style.

Premium wines are showcased alongside food stations featuring delights from the Kapalua Resort restaurants and special friends to include:

  • Cane & Canoe at Montage Kapalua Bay
  • Sansei Seafood Restaurant & Sushi Bar

On Saturday June 13th, longtime friends and cohorts Celebrity Chef Charlie Palmer and winemaker Daryl Groom team up for a cooking demonstration featuring Chef Palmer’s progressive American style of cooking.

The menu features Green Tea Soba Noodles with Tuna; Chermoula-Grilled Salmon; Long Island Duck Breast with Citrus Couscous and a finale of Chilled Orange Soufflé.

All dishes are paired with Daryl’s hand-selected Groom wines.

On Sunday, June 14, award-winning chef, restaurateur and author, Michael Mina, showcases his balanced approach to cooking with a focus on spice, sweetness, acidity and richness.

Co-hosted by the Master Sommelier Michael Jordan and winemaker Dan Kosta of Kosta Browne, anticipate Chilled Thai Squid Salad with Spicy Lime Vinaigrette, Purple Basil, Young Coconut; Tomato and Cocoa Dusted Seared Big Eye Tuna  and Fried Cauliflower, Uni Aioli, and Calabrian Chilies.

Round it up with a delicious Brioche Banana Custard Brulee, Salted Caramel Ice Cream and Toasted Macadamia Nut and wine pairings from Kosta Browne and Saint Michelle Wine Estates.

Sunday’s grand finale Seafood Festival, hosted by Alaska Airlines Visa Signature, will showcase the culinary delights of 14 of Maui’s top restaurants including:
