Three Hawaiʻi Marriotts Inducted into TripAdvisor Hall of Fame

Stellar service, exceptional amenities and breathtaking views were just a few of the reasons sited that earned three of Hawaiʻi’s Marriott hotels induction into TripAdvisor’s Hall of Fame.

The world’s largest travel site has honored Wailea Beach Marriott Resort & Spa on Maui, Kauaʻi Marriott Resort and Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort & Spa on Hawaiʻi Island with a 2015 Certificate of Excellence for five consecutive years of stellar reviews.

The Certificate of Excellence award program that began five years ago takes into account the quality, quantity and recency of guest opinions submitted on TripAdvisor as well as the hotel’s tenure and ranking on the site’s Popularity Index. To receive the honor, these Hawaiʻi hotels maintained an overall TripAdvisor rating of at least four out of five in the last 12 months.

In addition to rave reviews about the hotels’ staff, the resorts each received a shout out for specific amenities that make its property so special.

Comments about the Wailea Beach Marriott Resort & Spa included, “The infinity pool was fabulous. It was nice to be at a hotel with an adult area and not have to worry about screaming or splashing kids. It was total relaxation.”

The Maui resort also features a kid-friendly pool, complete with a water play-scape and slides. Guests also mentioned the resort’s watering holes, where they enjoyed “a refreshing escape with endless views of the ocean from morning to night.”

Wailea Beach Marriott guests also appreciate the resort’s luxurious bedding.

Kauaʻi Marriott Resort received multiple praise for its location.

“If you are going to Kaua’i, I’d highly recommend this resort,” wrote a guest. “You are by everything and you don’t have to drive anywhere if you don’t want to. The beach is right there!”

Nestled in Kalapaki Bay, the Kauaʻi resort is the perfect destination for guests looking for adventure with on-site water sports or seeking to simply soak up the sun from one of the plush beach chairs on shore.

The hotel also features one of the largest family resort pools in the state. When it comes to downtime. Guests say the Kaua’i Marriott has well-appointed rooms and suites with top-notch amenities.

Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort & Spa received accolades for its accommodations.

“We had a wonderful room with an ocean view balcony where we could watch the sunset every night,” commented a guest. “The beds were extremely comfortable; the rooms were appointed nicely.”

Guests also mentioned the Mandara Spa, the Waikoloa Beach resort’s on-site spa featuring a variety of customized services, as well as the elegant lounge chairs surrounding the outdoor pools, where they have enjoyed tropical cocktails from the bar. The resort is located beachfront at Anaeho’omalu Bay and within walking distance of a variety of shopping, dining, and outdoor activities.
