Wayne Wong has been selected to serve as director of the Maui Office of the Small Business Development Center Network.
The mission of the Hawaiʻi SBDC Network is to drive the economic well-being of Hawaiʻi by addressing the needs of business.
Wong’s experience in the small business commerce and technology fields will benefit small businesses struggling to keep up in this ever-changing economic environment.
In his previous position at the University of Hawai‘i Maui College, Wong served as the Small Business Solutions project director under EdVenture. He was responsible for planning and executing curriculums for small employers, to help improve skill shortages and education/training gaps.

A Kamehameha Schools graduate, Wong brings over 30 years of IT experience, evolving from coder to senior management, concentrating on ecommerce, online marketing and data security.
Wong holds an MBA degree in marketing from the University of Puget Sound and a BS degree from the University of Washington.
The Hawai‘i SBDC Network, a University of Hawai‘i at Hilo program, is funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the US Small Business Administration.
