Flood Watch for State Extended Until 6 p.m. Thursday

FLOOD WATCH FOR MAUI COUNTY UNTIL 6 P.M. THURSDAY 8/27/15

The National Weather service has extended a Flood Watch for Maui County until 6 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 27, 2015.
The watch includes the islands of: Niʻihau, Kauaʻi, Oʻahu, Molokaʻi, Lānaʻi, Maui and Hawaiʻi Island.
According to the latest NWS forecast, “a very moist and unstable air mass remains over Hawaiʻi. This tropical moisture interacting with island terrain and daytime heating will produce localized, intense and slow-moving heavy rains that may lead to flash flooding.”
FLOOD ADVISORY FOR MOLOKAI CANCELLED
(Update: 1:16 p.m. 8/26/15) The flood advisory for Molokaʻi has since been cancelled.
(Posted: 11:45 a.m. 8/26/15) The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Advisory for the island of Molokaʻi until 2:45 p.m. NWS forecasters say radar at 11:30 a.m. showed heavy rain near the Molokaʻi Airport (about 47 miles NW of Kahului, Maui). Other locations in the advisory include: Kualapuʻu, Kepuhi, Kalaupapa, Hoʻolehua, and Hālawa Valley.
