UPDATE: Honoapiʻilani Now OPEN After Kāʻanapali Traffic Accident

UPDATE: 2:30 p.m. Aug. 27, 2015. The road is now OPEN.

UPDATE: 1:59 p.m. Aug. 27, 2015.  Maui police are now using the southbound and inner northbound lanes to accommodate traffic following a traffic accident reported between the Fairway Shops and the Westin property earlier this afternoon.  The outer northbound lane remained closed at last report.

UPDATE ROAD CLOSURE: 12:11 p.m., Aug. 27, 2015. The Honoapiʻilani Hwy is CLOSED in Kāʻanapali between the Fairway Shops and the Westin due to a traffic accident. Emergency units are on scene.

KAʻANAPALI TRAFFIC ADVISORY: 12:30 p.m. 8/27/15. Motorists are advised of a traffic accident reported about 15 minutes ago on the Honoapiʻilani Highway in Kāʻanapali. Emergency crews are on scene. Please drive with caution in the area and expect delays as crews work to clear debris from the scene.
