Habitat for Humanity to Hold Bocce Tournament Fundraiser

Habitat for Humanity Maui’s second annual “Bocce Builds Homes” tournament is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 12, 2015, at the Mākena Beach and Golf Resort. The $400 registration fee is a tax-deductible donation of for a team of four.

Lunch is included in the registration fee and a cash bar will be available throughout the event.

Great prizes will be awarded to the top three teams and there will be opportunities to win other door prizes.

All proceeds will go towards Habitat’s Home Build program to help get low-income families and individuals into homes.

Habitat for Humanity Maui has completed 18 homes so far this year and has begun work on two more: one in Waiehu and one in Lāna‘i City.

Even with this progress, the need for affordable housing on Maui has never been greater, according to Habitat for Humanity Maui.

Habitat is also holding its 15th annual Golf Tournament on Saturday, Nov. 14.
