Maui Surf Forecast
North: Wave heights are expected head high to possibly double overhead today at the best breaks.
West: Wave heights knee/waist high are expected today with top breaks reaching tummy/chest high on the sets. Spots shadowed by other islands will be smaller.
South: The south-southwest is expected to bring knee/waist high waves today. The best breaks could get up to chest high on the sets.
A combo of strong trades and a fading north-northeast swell will keep surf heights at about head high Monday. The best breaks could get bigger on the sets.
South-southwest swell bumps up slightly through Monday. A modest south-southeast swell is expected Monday through Wednesday of next week created by tropical system Oho currently south of the Big Island.
Keep in mind, surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
