Missing Person: Man Who Lives on Boat Reported Missing

Maui police are seeking the public’s help in locating Thomas Warren Hansen, who was reported missing on Saturday, Oct. 3, 2015 by a family member who reported they were unable to make contact with him.

Police say the last reported phone contact with Hansen was on Sunday, Sept. 20, 2015.

According to Maui police, Hansen lives on a boat moored off of Māla Wharf in Lahaina.

Police say he is known to frequent the Lahaina town area.

He is described as a Caucasian male, standing 5’11” tall, weighing 168 pounds, with white hair and blue eyes.

Police say Hansen is known to his friends by “Sailor Tom” and “Tom Beard.”
