Sustainable Energy Homes to be Showcased in December Home Tour

The group Maui Tomorrow is partnering with the County of Maui’s Office of Economic Development to host a “Tour of Homes” in December to showcase residences with sustainable energy systems.

Organizers are currently looking for 5 to 8 properties to put on the tour.  The homes should have renewable energy with battery backup either tied to the grid or completely off the grid.

The purpose of the tour is to inform and educate the public about renewable energy possibilities. The event is planned for Dec. 5, 2015 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Proceeds from $10 ticket sales will be shared by Maui Tomorrow and the Sustainable Living Institute of Maui.
