Trade winds will bring scattered windward and mauka showers. There will likely be an increase in clouds and showers this weekend as moisture along the northern edge of tropical depression Nora gets pushed over the state by the trade winds. The showers will slide west of the state next week with somewhat drier conditions filling in.

Today
Today we expect partly to mostly cloudy skies with scattered windward and mauka showers for Maui County. Leeward spots should only get isolated showers. High temperatures from 83° to 88°. Northeast winds are forecast around 15 mph.  UV index at 8 (“very high” exposure level)

Tonight
Northeast winds are forecast around 15 mph. Low temperatures from 69° to 74°. Partly to mostly cloudy skies are expected with scattered windward showers and isolated leeward showers.
