Big wave surfers got a treat today when an XL swell generated by a storm in the North Pacific brought massive waves to Pe’ahi “Jaws” on Maui. Spectators lined the cliff from dawn until dusk.

Notable surfers were in the line up. Kelly Slater was out at first light and Bethany Hamilton got in on the action this afternoon. Maui boys Albee Layer and Kai Lenny were also in the line up. Kai posted on his Instagram that he hoped it would be a “4 to 5 sport day”.
