Rumor Prompts Early End to Lokelani Intermediate School Dance

Lokelani Intermediate School.
Maui police responded to Lokelani Intermediate School for an alleged threat reported at around 8 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 11.
The school was having a dance on campus at the time.
Maui Police Lieutenant William Juan said officers made checks at the school and discovered that the alleged threat was only a rumor that had circulated among the students.

School staff decided to end the dance early and officers stayed until all the students left the premises.
