Public Help Sought in Identification of Theft Suspect

Maui police are requesting the public’s help with identifying a suspect involved in theft reported in South Maui last week. Police say a custom made chair was stolen from a home on Halama Street in Kīhei on Thursday, Feb. 11, 2016 between 10 and 10:30 p.m. The chair was taken from the patio of a residence and was part of a set of four.

Police say an unidentified male is seen on video surveillance entering the back yard and taking the chair.

The department is asking for any information on the identity of the person in the surveillance images or the location of the chair.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Barry Aoki at (808) 875-5405 (Monday through Friday from 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.), Central Dispatch at (808) 244-6400 anytime, or 9-1-1 if it is an emergency.
