image003The Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset’s “Go For The Green” St. Patrick’s Day Party is scheduled on Thursday, March 17, at the Royal Lahaina Resort in Kā‘anapali.

The fundraiser will take place on the resort’s oceanfront lawn from 5:30 to 9 p.m., where guests can enjoy a free welcome drink as they watch the sunset.

Event proceeds will support community recycling in West Maui and the club’s other community service programs.

Popular Maui rock band JD on the Rocks will take the stage at 6 p.m.

“We’re excited to have JD on the Rocks for our St. Patty’s Day party,” said Rotary Club President Sandy Schneider. “Their music is sure to have everyone on the dance floor, kicking up their heels and having a great time.”

Residents and visitors are invited to join the party with a no-host bar, dinner buffet, and silent and live auctions.

“We have some great live auction items, including a Pedego electric bicycle donated by Pedego Maui and a two-night stay in an island view villa at Westin Ka‘ānapali Ocean Resort Villas,” said Liz May, Rotary club community service chair. “Local businesses including Maui Jim have also generously donated to our silent auction, which will have 100 items to bid on.”

A photo booth and pot of gold are also planned.

“Capture funny and spontaneous moments with your friends in our St. Patrick’s Day-themed photo booth, where your photo strips will be printed instantly,” said Schneider. “And don’t miss our pot of gold. One lucky key will open it.”

Tickets are $80 in advance, $85 at the door and $100 for VIP.
