MAPA’s Spring Dance Extravaganza at The MACC

Maui Academy of Performing Arts’ Spring Extravaganza will be presented in the Maui Arts & Cultural Center’s Castle Theater on Saturday and Sunday, May 7 and 8, 2016.
MAPA will presents four spectacular shows for the entire family (see schedule below).
The weekend will open with MAPA’s annual dance recital on Saturday afternoon, featuring dancers of all ages performing hip hop, jazz, tap and Glee Club.
On Saturday evening, MAPA’s most experienced dancers will present extraordinary original choreography in the MOVES concert, featuring a guest appearance by Ampersand, Maui’s professional dance company.
On Sunday, two ballet recitals will feature 200 MAPA ballerinas in Sleeping Beauty, the enchanting story of Princess Aurora, with music by Tchaikovsky.
Tickets are $17 for the Saturday dance performance and each ballet performance on Sunday.
Tickets for MOVES are $22 for adults and $17 students with ID.
