Pe’ahi “Jaws” Ocean & Land Clean Up on Saturday

The Surfrider Foundation Maui Chapter announced a Ocean and Land Cleanup event at the famed Pe’ahi “Jaws” surf break in Haʻikū.

The event is organized to mālama (care for) the land surrounding one of the world’s most recognizable big wave surf spots.

Spearheaded by Surfing BeCause and Handsome Bugga Productions, this is an all-hands-on-deck event.

The cleanup runs from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 14, 2016.  Click on map to enlarge the image and view the check-in location in greater detail.

Participants are asked to RSVP in advance by checking-in at the event Facebook page.

Lunch will be donated by Pāʻia Fish Market and Flatbread Company.  Some food will be provided but bring extra snacks in case.

Clean-up gear will be proved by Mālama Maui Nui.  Participants are asked to bring sun/outdoor gear and water.
