Plan Your Route: Maui Lane Closures June 11 to 17

The state Department of Transportation will be conducting a number of road projects on Maui during the week starting June 11, 2016, and ending June 17, 2016.

Department officials say lane closure scheduled may change at any time without further notice.  All projects are weather permitting.

HAʻIKŪ

Hāna Highway: (Weekend/Night Work) Left lane closure on Hāna Highway in the eastbound direction between the Garden of Eden Arboretum and Keʻanae Road on Friday, June 10, through Friday, June 17, over a 24-hour period, for roadway improvements.

KĀʻANAPALI

Honoapiʻilani Highway: (Weekend/Night Work) Lane closures on Honoapiʻilani Highway in both directions between Kakaʻalaneo Drive and Lower Honoapiʻilani Road on Sunday night, June 12, through Friday morning, June 17, from 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., nightly, for underground utility maintenance.  This includes: one lane closed in the northbound direction; and two lanes closed in the southbound direction.

Kūihelani Highway: (Weekend/Night Work) Left lane closure on Kūihelani Highway in the northbound direction between Honoapiʻilani Highway and Puʻunēnē Avenue in the vicinity of Maui Lani Parkway on Friday, June 10, through Friday, June 17, over a 24-hour period, for paving work.

Kaʻahumanu Avenue: (Night Work) Alternating lane closures on Kaʻahumanu Avenue in both directions between Maui Lani Parkway and Wākea Avenue on Monday, June 13, through Friday, June 17, from 8 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., nightly, for pavement marking and sign installations.

Kaʻahumanu Avenue: Alternating lane closure on Kaʻahumanu Avenue in both directions between Papa Avenue and Maui Lani Parkway on Monday, June 13, through Friday, June 17, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., daily, for traffic signal improvements.

Old Haleakalā Highway: (Weekend/Night Work) 24-hour lane shifts on Old Haleakalā Highway in both directions between Aʻalele Street and Kala Road on Friday, June 10, through Friday, June 17, for roadway construction. Motorists are advised to follow all traffic control signs and drive with caution through the work zone. Flaggers will be stationed at the site to direct motorists through the area.

KĪHEI

Mokulele Highway:  Alternating lane closure on Mokulele Highway in both directions between North Kīhei Road and Mehameha Loop on Monday, June 13, through Friday, June 17, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., daily, for paving work.

WAILUKU

Main Street: Alternating lane closure on Main Street in both directions between High Street and Lunalilo Street on Monday, June 13, through Friday, June 17, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., daily, for sign installations.
