Nahelu, a Maui-based band from Upcountry, headlines the return of Kamaʻāina Nights at the Queen Kaʻahumanu Center.

The locally grown Hawaiian concert series will take place every third Friday of the month.  The upcoming June event runs from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, June 17, 2016, at the Center Stage area.

The night begins with Hawaiian music by Maui’s own Kalani Joseph, a graduate of the Musicians Institute of California and established guitarist who resonates his diverse culture and unique style.

He will be followed by headliner band, Nahelu, which has been entertaining Maui with a combined roster of over 30 years. The group is comprised of Corey Ribucan, Stephen Lanse and Brad Kahikina.

With influences such as Hawaiian, country, blues, rock and reggae, the band aspires to share a positive and inspirational affect with their music.

The event is a collaboration between the Queen Kaʻahumanu Center and KPOA, 93.5 FM.
