APB Issued for Teen in Alleged Waiehu Burglary
Maui police are seeking the public’s help in locating a teen wanted for his alleged involvement in two Waiehu burglary incidents.
Police say Calvin Wong-Sato allegedly unlawfully entered the attached covered garage of a residence in Waiehu at around 3 a.m. on June 15, 2016.
The suspect spent several minutes looking around the garage, then left on foot without removing any items, according to police.
At about 5:06 a.m., police say the suspect returned to the residence and again unlawfully entered the garage and removed bottles of Lipton ice tea from a refrigerator within the garage.
The resident subsequently posted security video of the incident to a social media Facebook page.
An All-Points-Bulletin was issued for Wong-Sato’s arrest in this case. Police say the same individual is also a suspect in another similar burglary which occurred the same night, in the same area.
Police say Wong-Sato is believed to be homeless at this time.
The Maui Police Department is asking for any information on Wong-Sato’s whereabouts to call 9-1-1, and Reference police report number 16-024448. Police ask the public not to approach or try to detain him.
Wong-Sato is described as 19-years-old, standing 5’5″ tall, weighing 145 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. His last known address was on Ano Street in Kahului.
