Mechanical Problems Disrupt Trash Service in Pukalani, Makawao

Mechanical problems: Pukalani/Makawao

Due to mechanical problems, residential refuse on a collection route in Pukalani and part of a route in Makawao was not picked up on Monday, June 20, 2016.

All missed pickups are expected to be completed tomorrow, Tuesday, June 21, 2016, according to the County of Maui Department of Environmental Management, Solid Waste Division.

Areas affected on the Pukalani Route include: Alalani Street; Aliiolani Street; Iolani Street; Hiwalani Loop; Kuaina Ridge;Kumano; Nanaina; Kula 200; HaaHaa Street;Old Haleakala Highway; and all surrounding streets and road.

Affected areas for the partial rout in Makawao include: Makawao Ranch Acres; Miner Road; Kealaloa Avenue; Olinda road; Hanamu Road; Meha; and all surrounding streets and roads.

Representatives with the Solid Waste Division apologized for this inconvenience and thanked the public in advance for their understanding and cooperation.
