For the second day in a row, a manpower shortage has resulted in missed residential refuse collection for a route in the Kahului area.

The latest shortage was reported on Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2016.

The affected areas in Kahului include: South & West Wākea Avenues; Hina Avenue; Onehee Avenue; Kea Street; Kaʻao Circle; Kunu Place; Pue Place; Ohu Place; Hone Street; Aleo Place; Ano Place; Ola Street; Maʻalo Street; Ohaʻa Street; Waikala Street; Pōhaku Street; Pohai Street; Kaimana Street; Molokaʻi ʻAkau Street; Uhu Street; W. Kauaʻi Street; Puʻukani Street; Aoloa Loop; Puakala Place; as well as all surrounding streets and roads.

County officials say the trash route will be completed on Wednesday, August 3, 2016. Department representatives apologized for the inconvenience and thanked the community in advance for their understanding and cooperation.
