Interruption in Makawao Water Service, Aug. 11

The Department of Water Supply will be replacing a pressure regulator in front of the Makawao Veterans Cemetery on Thursday, Aug. 11, 2016, from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m.

DWS is advising all consumers that there will be no water service during these hours in the following areas:

• Kaluanui Road, from Baldwin Avenue to and inclusive of Hui No‘eau Visual Arts Center
• Baldwin Avenue from Makawao Veterans Cemetery down to and including Kaluanui Road. Makawao Veterans Cemetery will not be affected.

All affected customers may wish to store water in preparation for this time period and to adjust schedules appropriately.

DWS is also asking motorists to use caution when driving in the area as flagmen will be on duty directing one lane traffic. We regret any inconvenience this may cause.
