Staff Shortage Disrupts Pukalani Trash Collection

Manpower shortage, Pukalani. Maui Now graphic.

Due to staffing issues, residential refuse on a collection route in Pukalani was not picked up on Monday, Aug. 15, 2016, according to an announcement by the County of Maui Department of Environmental Management, Solid Waste Division.

All missed pickups are expected to be completed on Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2016.

The affected areas in Pukalani include: Ehilani Street; Elilani Street; Halaulani Street; Hanalani Street; Pukalani Street; Haulani Street; Hiolani Street; Hokulani Street; and Hololani Street as well as all surrounding streets and roads.

County officials with the Solid Waste Division apologized for the inconvenience and thanked the public in advance for their understanding and cooperation.
