KBH Appoints New Online Sales and Marketing Manager

Kāʻanapali Beach Hotel, Hawai’i’s Most Hawaiian Hotel, announced the appointment of Yvonne Gu as Online Sales and Marketing Manager earlier this week.

In her new role, she will increase brand awareness and manage the hotel’s digital sales and marketing programs.

Gu was previously the Sales and Marketing Manager at the Grand Hyatt in Shanghai, China and held a management trainee position at Mākena Beach & Golf Resort in Maui.

Most recently, Gu worked for the Hawaiʻi Tourism Authority in Honolulu, spearheading market insights from China and delivering design and content recommendations for the goHawaii mobile application.

“Yvonne will make an excellent addition to Kāʻanapali Beach Hotel. Due to her extensive educational background and prior hospitality experience, she is well versed to deliver key digital campaigns across our various platforms to reinforce our status as Hawaiʻi’s Most Hawaiian Hotel,” said John White, Director of Sales and Marketing at Kāʻanapali Beach Hotel.

Gu holds a Masters of Management in Hospitality from Cornell University and a degree in Hospitality Administration Management from University of Hawai’i Maui College.

In addition to sitting on the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association’s Cornell Chapter Board, she is a Certified Chinese-English Interpreter and International Tour Guide.

In her free time, Gu enjoys volunteer work and is passionate about protecting the local beaches of Hawai’i, culinary art, photography, gardening, taekwondo and ʻukulele.
