Godfather of British Blues is Coming to the MACC
John Mayall, the Godfather of the British Blues, and his band are coming to the MACC on Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2016. The show will take place at Castle Theater at 7:30 p.m.
The new band will be on a four-island Hawai’i tour. Mayall’s new band includes Texas guitar slinger, Rocky Athas, Greg Razb on bass, and Jay Davenport on drums.
For over 50 years, Mayall has served as a pioneer of blues music.
In 2013, Mayall signed with producer Eric Corne’s label, Forty Below Records, and has since been experiencing a true artistic and career renaissance.
The revival continued with the release of a new studio album, Find a Way to Care, produced by Mayall and Corne at the House of Blues Studios in Encino, California.
A portion of the ticket proceeds will benefit the Connections Charter School music program.
Tickets are now available for $35, $45, $55, $65 plus applicable fees.
